DESCRIPTION:Partisan Primary Election Information\n\n\nThe Partisan Primary Election will be held on Tuesday\, August 11th\, 2026. All polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. \nVoters can find their polling place and view additional election information at MyVote.wi.gov. \n2026 Partisan Primary Sample Ballot \nVote Absentee by Mail\nAny qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk.  A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who: \n\nwill be 18 years of age or older on Election Day.\nhas resided in the ward or municipality where they wish to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.\n\nThe elector must also be registered to vote to receive an absentee ballot.  Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued*. \nMaking application to receive an absentee ballot by mail \nContact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both.  You may make written application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot by mail\, by fax\, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov. Or you may apply in person at the clerk’s office during the In-Person Absentee Voting period listed below. \nYour written request must include: \n\nyour voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote\nthe address where the absentee ballot should be sent\, if different from the address above\nyour signature\na copy of your photo identification*\n\nThe deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is: \n5:00 p.m. on the fifth day before the election\, August 6th\, 2026 \n*Voters who are indefinitely confined due to age\, illness\, infirmity\, or disability may not be required to provide photo ID. If this applies to you\, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot. \n**Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined\, in the military\, hospitalized\, or serving as a sequestered juror.  If this applies to you\, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot. \nIn-Person Absentee Voting\nResidents may cast their ballot before Election Day by voting in-person absentee at the Town Hall on: \nSaturday\, August 8\, 20269:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. \nPublic Test of Voting Equipment\nThe Town of Grant will conduct a public test of the electronic voting equipment on: \nSaturday\, August 1\, 202610:00 a.m.Grant Town HallCorner of County Highway WW and 90th Street \n9011 County Road WW\nWisconsin Rapids\, Wisconsin 54494 \nThis test is open to the public to demonstrate that the voting equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures. \nAccessibility Notice\nAny person who has a qualifying disability\, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act\, that requires the meeting or materials to be in an accessible location or format should contact the Town Clerk at 715-213-7370 prior to the meeting so that necessary arrangements can be made to accommodate the request.
