DESCRIPTION:NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two Public Hearings will be held by the Town of Grant Town Board on: \nTuesday\, August 18\, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. \nTown of Grant Town Hall\, \n9011 County Road WW\, Wisconsin Rapids\, WI 54494 \nPublic Hearing #1:   Comprehensive Plan update \nThe purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments regarding the proposed amendment to the Town of Grant Comprehensive Plan\, per Wis. Stat. 66.1001(4)(d). \nThe amendments provide an updated Solar Overlay map and text.  The boundary of the Vista Sands Solar project is being added to the map\, and an outdated status of the project is being removed from the text. The changes will help guide the future growth and development in the Town of Grant. \nTown Of Grant Solar Map as of 042926 \nSolar Map Rationale \nPublic Hearing #2: Zoning Ordinance update   \nThe purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments regarding the proposed amendment to the Town of Grant Zoning Ordinance. \nThe amendments to the Zoning Ordinance include the definition of Data Center and to propose a new floating district for their real or potential development.  Data Centers will be prohibited in all existing districts.   This change will help guide the future development in the Town of Grant.  \nTown of Grant Zoning Ordinance Proposed Changes \nAll interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and be heard. Written comments can be submitted to the Town Clerk prior to the meeting and shall become part of the record. \nInformation regarding the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment and Zoning Ordinance are available for viewing at the Town Hall\, 9011 County Road WW\, Wisconsin Rapids\, WI 54494. Additionally\, draft documents are also available for download at the Town’s website: https://townofgrantportage.wi.gov.
