NOTICE: Public Hearing RE Zoning Ordinance: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF GRANT Wednesday, January 22, 2025 6:30 pm The Plan Commission of the Town of Grant and the Board of the Town of Grant, Portage County, Wisconsin, will be holding a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 9011 County Road WW. The purpose of the hearing is to allow all interested parties to be heard concerning proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. The amendments revise the intent, permitted uses, and conditional uses in all zoning districts within the Town, delete the Farmland Preservation Overlay, provide more detail regarding obtaining a zoning or conditional use permit, clarify the role of the Zoning Administrator, delete the Signs section in order to make it a standalone ordinance, change the title of the Board of Adjustment to Board of Appeals and clarify its function, edit the section on quarrying, adjust penalties associated with a violation of the ordinance, and revise the definitions. All interested parties are invited to attend. Written comments can also be submitted to the Town Clerk until 6:30pm the day of the hearing.
