Voting in the Town of Grant takes places at the Grant Town Hall, 9011 County WW. 

Remember to bring photo ID (click for more on acceptable forms of ID)

Spring Election Information

The Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. All polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Voters can find their polling place and view additional election information at MyVote.wi.gov.

2026 Spring Election Sample Ballots

Vote Absentee by Mail

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk.  A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who:

  • will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day.
  • has resided in the ward or municipality where they wish to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.

The elector must also be registered to vote to receive an absentee ballot.  Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued*.

Making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail

Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both.  You may make written application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov. Or you may apply in person at the clerk’s office during the In-Person Absentee Voting period listed below.

Your written request must include:

  1. your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote
  2. the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different from the address above
  3. your signature
  4. a copy of your photo identification*

The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:

5:00 p.m. on the fifth day before the election, April 2, 2026

*Voters who are indefinitely confined due to age, illness, infirmity, or disability may not be required to provide photo ID. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

**Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror.  If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

In-Person Absentee Voting

Residents may cast their ballot before Election Day by voting in-person absentee at the Town Hall on:

Public Test of Voting Equipment

The Town of Grant will conduct a public test of the electronic voting equipment on:

This test is open to the public to demonstrate that the voting equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures.

Accessibility Notice

Any person who has a qualifying disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, that requires the meeting or materials to be in an accessible location or format should contact the Town Clerk at 715-213-7370 prior to the meeting so that necessary arrangements can be made to accommodate the request.

  • registering to vote (or verifying you are registered),
  • what is on your ballot (available 47 days before the federal elections and 21 days before state and local elections), and

KEY POINTS REGARDING REGISTERING TO VOTE

The Wisconsin voter registration application is now available online. You can register online if you have a valid, unexpired Wisconsin Driver License or Wisconsin State ID Card.  You cannot complete registration online if the election is less than 20 days away.

If you are a new voter or if you are a new resident and the election is closer than 20 days away; please print, complete, and return the form (along with proof of residence) to the town clerk to become a registered voter.  Alternatively, this form can be submitted at the Town Hall on election day or you can register in person at the Town Hall on election day.
