Seasonal Weight Road Restrictions: On Monday, April 13, 2026, the Portage County Highway Department will be removing seasonal weight restrictions on all County Trunk Highways East and South of the Wisconsin River with the exception of CTH X and CTH DB. All County Trunk Highways West of the Wisconsin River along with CTH X and CTH DB will remain posted until conditions change. Once a final date has been determined, a separate press release will be sent out for the remaining roads. Any weight restrictions on State, City, Village, or Town roads are handled by each individual municipal entity.
