Weekly News Blast: On Wednesday, the Plan Commission completed the review of our Zoning Ordinance feedback received from the residents at the public hearing held earlier this year.  Updates were made to the text to clarify and ensure consistency in the language.  The amendments suggested on Wednesday will be made to the text of the Zoning Ordinance. The Commissioners will then be ready to make a recommendation to the Town Board for approval of the changes. This discussion will happen during the September 17 Plan Commission meeting. The next steps are to receive the approval of the Town of Grant Board, followed by the Portage County Planning and Zoning Committee, and finally the Portage County Board.  The Plan Commission is on target to complete the Zoning Ordinance revisions by the end of the year.  Today the Town Board met and approved American Asphalt’s estimate to complete the asphalt overlay over the culvert replacement on 90th Street south of CTH W. The cost will be $5,095. Following this work the project will be complete. Fifty percent of all costs associated with this emergency culvert replacement will be covered by Portage County. Enjoy the beautiful summer weather.
