- 2017 Portage County Water Quality Testing Results In the summer of 2017, Portage County collaborated with the UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) Center for Watershed Science to sample private wells for nitrate-nitrogen, chloride, pH, alkalinity, total hardness and conductivity.
