Hooray! The bridge on County Road WW is open for business. FYI, this was a Portage County, not a Town of Grant project. Regardless, it’s a great tie-in to the Town’s recent bridge installations also completed over Four Mile Creek on 110th, 100th and 95th Streets South. These bridges should last generations, so we are very happy to have all this work done during our tenure on the town board. Speaking of creeks, for those of you who own property within the Portage County Drainage District the annual assessment will remain the same at $1.75 per acre on this year’s tax bills.
Everyone should have received our Summer/Fall newsletter in the mail. If not, let me know at chair@townofgrant-portage.wi.gov. I heard from a couple folks so I’m hoping that everyone else received one by now. I’ll be dropping off extra copies at the Transfer Station tomorrow and there will also be extra copies in the Town Hall on the table just inside the front door.
Looks like snow will be coming our way tomorrow (or so the weather folks say)! Stay warm, Sharon
