NOTICE: Ballot Order Meeting

Weekly Blast!: Two weeks ago it was Snowpocalypse and now the Ice Capades – really??? Yesterday and possible this evening the conditions may be treacherous so please use extreme caution when driving or working around large trees. If you were outside yesterday it sounded like shotguns as the pines were snapping and falling. As I write this Portage County is still reporting that 16,000 residents are without power. We owe thanks to both Supervisors Scott Provost and Doug Steltenpohl who took turns with our Public Works crew of Brian Kuhlmann, Leo Krueger, Jerry Reinwand, Garry Saeger, and Jim Yetter. They were clearing trees all day and did their best to keep up with the ice and wind. Note that the Transfer Station will be open tomorrow from 9am until 5pm and you may bring fallen brush from your property. We will have an attendant on site to assist you if needed. Our thanks are also extended to Clerk Stefanie Schlapa who is already working on possible financial aid that we might be eligible for due to these unforeseen emergencies. The Town Hall at 9011 County Road WW will be open tomorrow for early in-person voting from 9am – 3pm. General election time is 7am until 8pm this Tuesday April 7. And our regularly scheduled Town Board meeting is Wednesday beginning at 6pm. Stay safe out there, Sharon
