November 5th Election: In-Person Early Voting is Closed At this time if you still need to register to vote, you may do so in-person on Election Day. To preview your ballot, visit: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/Whats-On-My-Ballot A friendly reminder that absentee ballots can still be returned in the black dropbox located outside the back door of the town hall (see attached image). We look forward to seeing you on November 5th! Please remember to bring your ID and a smile. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Proposed Zoning Action Notifications

The Town of Grant is required to a maintain a list of property owners who want to receive notice of any proposed zoning action that may affect the allowable use of their property. Section 60.61(4)(f), Wisconsin Statutes.  

The Town of Grant is also required to maintain a list of property owners who want to receive notice of any proposed changes to the Comprehensive Plan that affect the allowable use of their property. Section 66.1001(4)(f), Wisconsin Statutes. The Comprehensive Plan does not directly regulate property use, but any subsequent zoning changes must be consistent with the Plan. See Section 66.1001(2m)(a) and (3), Wisconsin Statutes.

To request to be added to either or both notification lists, please submit a written request to the Town Clerk at 9011 County Road WW, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494, or email the Town Clerk at clerk@townofgrant-portage.wi.gov. Please include your name, property address, parcel number, which list or lists to be added to, and preferred method of notification (either via email or direct mail) with proper contact information. Note your request to receive notification does not need to be renewed.
