Snow, sun, snow, sun – say what? Thanks to our part-time plow operators who did the best they could in unfavorable conditions. Before and after plowing fallen trees were removed from the roads and rights-of-way, and large potholes filled with road base in a few areas. The roads are “soft” now and vulnerable to damage with the plows. Unsurfaced roads were mainly left unplowed so that road base was not disturbed. Hopefully, we are officially through winter and can look forward to a nice spring…
Some of you may have received a notice regarding American Transmission Company’s Grid Forward project for Central Wisconsin. There is an in-person open house on Wednesday April 10 from 4:30-6:30p.m. at Hotel Mead. There is a small section of the proposed powerline that may affect the T. Grant. The Town of Grant is seeking a Zoning Administrator. Send a resume’ with references to the Town Clerk or Chair. This one-year appointment is typically made in May of each year. A current description of the position can be found in our Zoning Ordinance.
