Plan Commission Meeting: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Grant Plan Commission will hold a meeting for the Town of Grant, in the County of Portage, State of Wisconsin, for the transaction of business permitted to be transacted at such a meeting. The meeting will be held at the Grant Town Hall, 9011 CTH WW (corner of 90th Street and CTH WW), Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm. On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the Portage County Highway Department began imposing seasonal weight restrictions on various County Trunk Highways. The weight restrictions are 6 tons gross load for single axle and 10 tons gross load for each tandem axle (any two axles under 8 feet apart). The maximum gross vehicle weight is 26 tons. Portage County Highway Department will begin installing signs along all posted roads. Enforcement begins when signs are installed.
