NOTICE: Town Board Meeting: Notice is hereby given that the Town of Grant Town Board will hold a meeting for the Town of Grant, in the County of Portage, State of Wisconsin, for the transaction of business permitted to be transacted at such meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Grant Town Hall, 9011 CTH WW, Wisconsin Rapids, WI on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at 6:00PM. Invasive Species Regulations Update

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced the opening of the public comment period for the draft rule language associated with proposed revisions to ch. NR 40, Wisconsin’s Invasive Species Rule. The department will also be holding a public hearing on the proposed rule on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 5 p.m. 

Visit the department’s website to access the draft rule, an updated economic impact analysis and supplemental Rule Revision Guide. Details on the hearing and how to submit comments can be found in the hearing notice. 

The department will be accepting public comments through Aug. 7, 2026.
