Town of Grant Notice of Public Hearing / Special Town Meeting of the Electors: Town of Grant Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that on Monday, November 16th, at 6:00 pm at the Grant Town Hall, 9011 County Hwy. WW, a PUBLIC HEARING on the 2027 PROPOSED BUDGET of the Town of Grant in Portage County will be held.  The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection by contacting the Town Clerk at 715-213-7370, clerk@townofgrant-portage.wi.gov, or Town Website. The following is a summary of the proposed budget: NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF GRANT, PORTAGE COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on Thursday Monday, November 16th immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2027 budget, which begins at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall of Grant, a special town meeting of the electors called pursuant to Section 60:12(1) ( c) of Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board for the following purposes will be held: To adopt the 2026 town tax levy to be paid in 2027 pursuant to Section 60:10(1) (a) of Wisconsin Statutes. Authorize the town board to hire town officers as employees of the town in an emergency and set an hourly wage pursuant to Sec. 60.10(1) (g) of Wisconsin Statutes. Election Details

An election is to be held in the Town of Grant on Tuesday, April 1st 2025. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:

Office Terms

The term for all offices is for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.

 

For Candidates

The first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2024, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 in the office of the town clerk.

 

Primary Election

If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025.

 

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election.  If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
