Road Closure: The following is an important message from Nathan Check, Portage County Highway Commissioner: Portage County Highway Department will be closing CTH U(80th Street South) between Church Avenue and Quarry Road. The culvert is located approximately 800’ south of Quarry Road. The nearest address is 8330 80th Street S, Wisconsin Rapids which will need to be accessed from the north. The Highway Department is in the process of setting up a detour which will utilize STH 73 to CTH F to CTH W. Road opening will depend on the damage assessment once flows are reduced.
Polls are now open for the 2026 Spring Election and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. today.
If you are returning an absentee ballot, please use the black drop box located at the back of the Grant Town Hall.
All voters must be in line by 8:00 p.m. to cast a ballot.
