Revaluation Notice

Road Closure: The following is an important message from Nathan Check, Portage County Highway Commissioner: Portage County Highway Department will be closing CTH U(80th Street South) between Church Avenue and Quarry Road. The culvert is located approximately 800’ south of Quarry Road. The nearest address is 8330 80th Street S, Wisconsin Rapids which will need to be accessed from the north. The Highway Department is in the process of setting up a detour which will utilize STH 73 to CTH F to CTH W. Road opening will depend on the damage assessment once flows are reduced.

Town of Grant, Portage County

A revaluation of property assessments in the Town of Grant shall occur for the 2026 assessment year. Revaluation notices are expected to be sent to property owners in July 2026. Please also notice that the Assessor has certain statutory authority to enter land as described in Wis. Stat. §§943.13 and 943.15.

The ability to enter land is subject to several qualifications and limitations, as described in the statutes.
