WW, a PUBLIC HEARING on the 2027 PROPOSED BUDGET of the Town of Grant in Portage County will be held. The following is a summary of the proposed budget: NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF THE ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF GRANT, PORTAGE COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on Thursday Monday, November 16th immediately following completion of the Public Hearing on the proposed 2027 budget, which begins at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall of Grant, a special town meeting of the electors called pursuant to Section 60:12(1) ( c) of Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board for the following purposes will be held: To adopt the 2026 town tax levy to be paid in 2027 pursuant to Section 60:10(1) (a) of Wisconsin Statutes. Authorize the town board to hire town officers as employees of the town in an emergency and set an hourly wage pursuant to Sec. 60.10(1) (g) of Wisconsin Statutes. We realize that many of you may have had trees or brush that fell due to the recent snow and winds. However, until further notice we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing brush to the Transfer Station.
