Notice: Public Hearing: CLASS III NOTICE OF HEARING FOR VACATION AND DISCONTINUANCE OF A PORTION OF GRIFFITH AVENUE A public hearing shall be held by the Town Board of the Town of Grant, at the Town of Grant Town Hall, 9011 County Road WW, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin 54494, on December 9th, 2026, at 6:30PM p.m., to discuss the proposed action to discontinue a portionof Griffith Avenue initiated by the introduction of a Resolution by the Town Board of the Town of Grant pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 82.10. Said portion of Griffith Avenue is depicted to scale in the attached map, which is incorporated herein, and legally described as follows: That portion of Griffith Ave being located in part of the SW1/4 and part of the SW1/4 SE1/4 of Section 27, also being part of the NW1/4 and part of the NW1/4 NE1/4 of Section 34, all in Township 22 North, Range 7 East, Town of Grant, Portage County, Wisconsin whose Centerline is bounded and described as follows: Commencing at the SW COR. 27-22-7E: Thence along the South Line of the SW1/4 on a bearing of N 89°16'11" E, a distance of 550.00' being the POINT OF BEGINNING of the Vacated Griffith Ave.; Thence continue along the South Line of the SW1/4 on a bearing of N 89°16'11" E, a distance of 773.66' to the SE Cor. of the SW1/4 SW1/4; Thence continue along the South Line of the SW1/4 on a bearing of N 89°16'11" E, a distance of 1323.66' to the S1/4 Cor. 27-22-7E; Thence along the South Line of the SE1/4 on a bearing of N 89°35'55" E, a distance of 1010' more or less to a point 100' West of Ditch No. 4 to the POINT OF ENDING of the Vacated Griffith Ave. Dated this 15th day of October 2026, 2026.
