Weekly Blast!: The 162nd Annual Meeting of the Town of Grant was held Tuesday. Thanks are extended to all those in attendance. Clerk Stefanie Schlapa provided the Annual Report detailing our 2025 finances. Other reports from the Town of Grand Rapids Fire Department, United Emergency Medical Response, Town of Grant Plan Commission, and more were heard. Residents opted to continue with our annual Choose to Reuse and Tire Day. This year it will be held Saturday May 16 – mark your calendars! Our ATV/UTV Ordinance was updated and a new Recycling Ordinance introduced –including new requirements per state administrative rules and statutes. This morning, I accompanied our grader operator to check all the unsurfaced roads in the Town. We noted where road base is needed and other basic maintenance for the season. There is still quite a bit of tree debris to clear before some of the roads can be properly maintained, but we’ll get to it! Enjoy the weekend with temps ranging from 30s to 50s. Those temps haven’t kept the ticks from slowing down, that’s for sure. Watch for the little buggers, Sharon
